The end of this week the weather looks set to be very unsettled especially on Friday when a area of low pressure looks set to move close to the southwest of Ireland and move up along the west and northwest coastal bringing a spell of windy weather with heavy rainfall.

On Friday it will be a windy day with strong gusts along all coastal county's of Ireland with gust of up to 90km/hr to 110km/hr possible. Inland areas gusts could gust as high as 80km/hr to 100km/hr. Winds will be south westerly in direction with a possible warning possible for some county's pending the coming weather model runs.

A spell of very hevvy rainfall is also likely to accompany the wind with the risk of spot flooding and excess surface water on roads over the first half of Friday but this will clear with scattered showers over the later stages of the afternoon and night.

Winds will also ease over night.

Just a quick update on the extended forecast looking ahead to near the end of the month there is the risk it could turn colder again but I need to see more evidence of this on other models to be sure of that yet.
